The day before our show on ElvetBridge in Durham a group of us attended the Swainby Show. Maurice Scott organised a run from Bowburn Services leaving at 9.15 meeting up with Brian and Ivy Swallow on the way.
Ready for the off at Bowburn
We arrived at Swainby and parked up before having a stroll over to the café for a welcome bacon sandwich and a cup of coffee. Suitably refreshed we look around the excellent exhibits ranging from some rare Jaguars and Rolls Royces to old motorbikes and dozens of classic cars. We had a nice surprise when Bob Luke won the prize for the best MG with his aqua MGB. We had another great day out with great company and good weather, long may it last.
