The Northern National at Pateley Bridge

A dozen MG’s met at a dull and overcast Bowburn Services for the ride down to Pateley Bridge for the annual Northern National MG Show organised by the Harrogate MG Owners Club. We joined a further

dozen cars on the Durham stand at the show. After erecting the event shelter and a delicious bacon sandwich we had a walk round the show admiring the very high standard of cars that were present. It was good to meet up with old friends and acquaintances, I had an interesting chat with the organisers of the show, they are going to have it a week later next year, I guess this is so that it doesn’t clash with the many other events, like Croft for example, that are on the same weekend.

It was good to see Dave Farrar, Malcolm Craig and our newest member Tony Whitmore on the Durham stand in their very smart modified MG’s. The time passed all to quickly and it was soon time to pack up and head for home.
